Community Workshop. A fire scenario for Emergency Management Tuesday 29th November 2016 6 to 9 pm
Buchan Recreation Pavilion
Dinner included
This workshop will be led by Forest Fire Management Victoria, together with CFA, Police, EGSC, Red Cross, Bush Nursing, Parks Victoria, Victorian Farmers Federation and DHHS.
Using Phoenix modelling to create a fire emergency scenario in our district, we will map and discuss the progress of a fire event and participants can identify what they would be doing, thinking and feeling.
This workshop is an excellent learning tool for all involved and provides an experiential event that enables people to ask the questions on how we would all manage this event and understand what is happening around us.
For further information take a look at the Airleys Inlet experience which took place in 2013 on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IB2DF10pxwM
It is essential for people to RSVP by Friday 25th November to ensure that the simulation can be hypothetically developed and for catering purposes.
In order to make this event the best it can be, it would be great if everyone could complete the community survey that is open until Sunday 30 October. The survey feedback will be used to make sure any interests or concerns you have are addressed (if possible). Please complete the survey by going to:
