The Buchan Neighbourhood House continues to be a sustainable and viable community hub for the community of Buchan and District.

Mission: To foster the development of a cooperative, sustainable and effective community through the provision of education, communication, support and information.

Buchan Neighbourhood House is dedicated to supporting carers in Victoria and offers a warm, secure, and welcoming environment. Our organisation is Carer Friendly and helps connect carers to necessary services. We have strong ties with Carers Victoria and participate in their events, workshops, and informational opportunities for both carers and staff.

Community Phone Book

Buchan and District has a local phone book that can be purchased at the roadhouse, general store and the neighbourhood House.  We do not add mobile numbers without permission.  Changes to phone numbers or if you would like your number, business or organisation to be added or updated, please contact us.New Residents Welcome Pack

Community Website

Buchan Neighbourhood House manages, updates and reviews the Buchan Community Website.  Please contact us for any changes or additions.

Community Resilience and Preparedness

We can assist you with your personal emergency plan . We review and distribute the Community Local Incident Management Plan (LIMP) and booklet together with East Gippsland Shire Council.

We manage, prepare and activate the community phone tree.

We arrange community preparedness meetings with relevant agencies and the community,
