Is there an email address through which I can reach Rhonda Coates or other family member?
I was a zoology PhD student at Monash in the’60s and did much field work around Buchan, some on the Coates property where I camped in the old house (Maroobra?). My memory is that Jock Coates was at that time in the town post office.
Wish you the best in dealing with fires that, from the small scale map I have seen, must be close to the town.
