Community Fire Plan, DSE Planned Burns & Information

Department of Sustainability Planned Burns.

Members of the Bairnsdale Field Naturalists Club, Bird Life East Gippsland and the Australian Native Plant society enjoyed a field day with DSE fire management staff on Tuesday September 27.

The day involved a trip to Mount Elizabeth, east of Tambo Crossing in East Gippsland to inspect burn monitoring sites and learn more about DSE’s burn monitoring program.  Media Release

Buchan Community Fire Plans are available at the Buchan Neighbourhood House.

The Neighbourhood House also operates a community phone tree during fire threat to keep the community up to date on fire information.

Fire information will also be posted to this website.
